Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, located on the headwaters of the Amazon basin, spans more than 5-million acres. Twice the size of Yellowstone Park, it is teeming with wildlife and aquatic life with hundreds of species including threatened or endangered species like the pink Amazon dolphin, jaguar, black alligator, giant river otter and the manatee.
