Make Your Own Tour
The benefit of this option is the client's flexibility to organize a custom-made package with his or her friends.
We have developed a range of activities that can be selected. The options have been divided according to their durations: from half a day to two or more days.
|
At
Left: a camping area located a short distance from the
farmhouse.
It is our desire to provide innovating and different services and, thus, Volcano Land adapts itself to the wishes of its users. Therefore, our visitors are given the option to decide which activities they would like to carry out as well as the length of their stay. We have prepared a functional, friendly, and easy system that will permit our guests to choose among several options and to prepare their own packages. In this manner, they will have the freedom to make the best use of their stay. Furthermore, our guests can also choose our fixed tours planned according to pre-estimated schedules.
|
Bicycling: Exciting downhill rides are possible from the parking
lot at the Cotopaxi refuge located 4,500 (14,700-feet) meters above sea level. In addition to admiring the resplendent landscape, adrenaline-laden experiences will be felt while descending from the volcano towards Limpiopungo followed by a cross-country ride through the bed of an old landslide formed by lava and mud flows from past volcanic eruptions.

Horseback
Riding: Following a lecture about how to handle the horses, and wearing the typical "Chagra" attire, we begin the ride through the majestic "paramos" along many trails where, in a mixture of legend and history, we can admire brave bulls, local birds, the wild fauna, and the marvelous landscape of the Ecuadorian highlands.
. . |
|
Trekking: Very early in the morning, we begin to climb the volcano crossing vast "paramos" covered by the cold breath of the Andes and amazed by the majestic atmosphere and beauty of the landscape that conjugates valleys, mountains, and neighboring volcanoes in one single image.
. .
Other activities include fishing, climbing the Quilindańa, horseback riding up to Cotopaxi's very foothills and visiting Curipugyo, Ventanillas, the Magmas valley, the crater of the extinguished El Pailon volcano, or the magical Pantzas el Torino forest.
